Christ ~ is NOT Risen!

John 2, Jesus causes trouble in the Temple and claims authority to put the buyers and sellers and their animals and stock out.  He tells the Jews that his destroying the Temple and raising it in three days is his proof that this is his right. The gospel says he is declaring the resurrection to be the supreme proof that he is the Son of God and Messiah and saviour.

“If Christ hasn’t been raised from the dead then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins.  Then those who have died in Christ are lost.  If we only have hope in Christ for this life then we are to be pitied above all men” (Word of God given through the Apostle Paul, The Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:17-19).

Paul clearly permits unbelievers in the resurrection of Jesus to see Christianity as useless and pitiable if Jesus really didn't rise.  By implication, he had the sense to see that if a faith is based delusion or on what is untrue we are better off without it even if it leads to comfort and good works.  Better to be authentic and realistic than happy and delusional. 

Christianity teaches that the resurrection of Jesus is the proof that he is the only man who can show us what God is like and bring us back to God.  It was Jesus' supreme miracle.  If it didn't happen then the Church says Jesus has no entitlement to be regarded as the Son of God.  This website seeks to investigate the matter.  We have only the four gospels of the New Testament - these alone, along with 1 Corinthians chapter 15, purport to support the historical evidence for the resurrection of Christ.  Do they succeed?
